In a roll of the dice, Mat is always a winning bet. My favorite from the WoT series. Can’t wait for more defining moments of glory, gamble and mishief!

Coming Home

MBG Asia - Katipunan, Cebu and Tacloban - July 3-22, 2026 Stepping back into the cradle of time, where childhood was sweet, simple, and filled with dreams. Retracing our steps to a time when we thought little of the world, yet somehow felt bigger than it. Until the vastness of the real world humbled us, making us swallow the balloon of ego we had nurtured as we grew. We were humbled, but also...

Coco Loco and Bravo Bavaro - MBG's Winter Amnesia

MBG Earth - Bavaro, Punta Cana - March 15-19, 2026 Bravo Bavaro, going loco over coco and rum! Oh, the fun under the tantalizing sun! Scorched feet don’t care, with tingling sunburns dancing over our noses. Hats down and bottoms up, oh winter, do we know you? Certainly not! Bavaro is our sky this March Break! With our 15-year-old in tow, it’s family fun, sandy toes, tropical adventures, and...

Of Laces and Crane Games - Biw is 14

2025 hit me hard, but through it all, I was reminded of God’s grace and of a blessing I will continue to celebrate for as long as I live, until my hair falls to the earth. Off we went to Octo. The Biw, no matter how annoying she can be, will forever be the love of my life. Celebrating her 14th birthday was a milestone not only for her, but for me as her mom. Fourteen years of watching her grow,...

Where the Dragons Are...

The Dragon roars...and you answer, ignited by life’s flame, radiant yet fleeting. Where the horizon stretches without end, where no mountain ever stands tall enough, there you ascend. You soar... bearing the vitality of a newborn dawn, loud as thunder, gentle as rain. The mortal earth could not contain you; You belong where the Dragons are. Time moves on... your presence remains titanic,a love you...

A Sailor's Dream - The Atlantic, Conquered

The Marcoses 2025 Provinces Series - Newfoundland and Labrador (Aug 23-28) Our tour of the Maritimes took place a year ago, at the height of summer. We dropped anchor in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick, saving Newfoundland for a sailor’s dream. Time wasn’t on our side, so we decided to leave the best for last. We enjoyed our Maritimes voyage so much that we planned to...

Heavenly Christmas

Christmas cheers rang hollow, wishes frozen where they were left. For the longest time, we haven’t sat at the same Christmas table. For a long while still, we never will.   I wish there was one last Christmas with you, one last ordinary day with you. Time is a thief—it took what mattered most. It wasn’t kind. It took you.   This Christmas, I will try to make room for joy I hope you...

Tobermory with Friends

MBG Places Ontario Series - June 7, 2025 Friends can become like family when you find the right ones — the ones who join you on long drives, chase the sunrise after cold nights, and sit with you by the campfire. They’ll have their own families, and you’ll have yours, but together you’ll author stories of those summer nights that will turn into a beautiful book of life. Moments like this are...

A Hunt of Wizards and Witches - St. Jacobs ON

MBG Places Ontario Series - May 17, 2025 Wizards are the keepers of  secrets untold,  those who weave wisdom and spells into the creases of the world. Witches, on the other hand, draw power from nature and spirits, vagabonds of mystic beauty, charm, and wits. I confess, I often dream of worlds far removed from our own. I may be arcane, perhaps even foolish, but my curiosity has...

Love Lies Unchanging...

Aki, no matter how far the hands of time stretched into antiquity, through vitality and decay, my love for you lies unchanging, deep in my heart. The conundrum of life brings meaningful experiences of profound joy in living, and regretfully, a trepidation on what is an eventuality - our passing.  I've always seen each day as a precious blessing, a fleeting yet priceless gift. And because...
