Another heavy elective: First Reflection: Introduce yourself and post a photo that signifies why photography is important.

Hi, my name is Reena, I love reading and watching fantasy fiction books and movies. I do not have much time on my hands to indulge myself but once I do, you’ll find me cemented in a corner flipping pages or glued to a screen. 

I hope you will like this photo that I took on the prettiest season of 2022, at High Park. I am not too proud of my photographic skills and most of the time I am very bad at it. Showing this photo here took a lot of courage but I am putting this out here because this photo speaks a lot about life, and how precious it is. If I were to name this photo, it will be - Transcience is Beauty.

Just as Sigmund Freud came to believe, the transcience of anything beautiful does not make it less beautiful. We are all destined to die, just like these beautiful Sakura that will soon wither away. Knowing full well of the limitation these flowers could only last to bloom should not affect how we appreciate them. We should enjoy them while they last. Sakura and just like our mortality is precious because we only have too little time. We have to make every second count and enjoy the beauty that life and living bring before it soon fades away and became just a memory preserved in a photograph.
