The Land of the Legos we go! (throwback to 4 years ago :D)

Sidestory: All hail the Land of the Legos! Shouted the tiny guy in brick pants. The guy raised his head and he saw a giant hand stretched out to fetch him, he got scared and said Super LegoMan, save me! I woke up, it was a dream, was I suppose to be the LegoMan? Well, ain't bad at all!! To fulfill my destiny, I packed my things and to the land of the Legos I go! :D

Ever wonder being your own superhero in a quest for a lost treasure? Being super and all commanding your own minions on a ready at your every command? On a vacation getting all relaxed but totally badass at the same time? Well, I found me a place where adventure meets fun, where imagination turns to reality, to the Land of the Legos my friend! Legoland Malaysia, a construction of colorful interlocking blocks of fun theme rides, waterpark, some of Asia’s famous attractions and a whole bunch of legos pretty much all over the place!

Situated just outside Singapore's border one might think getting to Johor Bahru is as easy as 1-2-3! Some transportation services do not offer a ride straight up to the theme park. Inevitable coach transfers upon arrival in Singapore-Malaysia customs and long queue at immigration might be expected. Means of transportation depending on your budget as-as follows (my own research, a lot of helpful tips online too!):

  • Public Bus - SGD 6/pax one way. From Jurong East/ Boon Lay transfer to CIQ Interlink in Malaysia. Transfer to another bus en route LegoLand every three hours only from 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays and every 90 mins from 9 am to 7:30 pm on weekends.
  • Private Bus- SGD 20- 25/pax 2-way. Pick up and drop off point at Lavender MRT or Singapore Flyer at 8:30 am and returning at 6:00 pm. Those staying in a hotel, some bus services offer a pickup shuttle from the hotel to Singapore Flyer. Expected to alight in Singapore customs and Malaysia customs for passport stamp (prepare for the long queue). http://www.busonlineticket.com/bus-from-singapore-to-legoland
  • Singapore Taxi- SGD 40 per cab and RM 60 per cab vice versa.

There are also a bunch of travel deals online! Package inclusions of Legoland tickets + transportation + hotel or any  2 of the services depending on your needs. https://www.wtstravel.com.sg/index.php/legoland-hotel

We stayed in JB for 2 days and 1 night only just for a quick weekender. We had ourselves accommodated at KSL Resorts. A combination of first class accommodation and ultimate shopping experience plus a much needed nighttime chill in their comfy bar and lounge.

The attractions

Some of Asia's famous attractions meticulously crafted out of legos! Super nice! I had suddenly had an urge to destroy the towers as it was nicely and neatly done! hahahhaha i just want them legos scattered! boom!

The waterpark and rides

We visited the place a little too early since the soft opening so a lot of places and rides were a little undeveloped and the shelter was bad. There were little to no shades at all. Few food stalls and limited souvenirs to choose from. Given that, we enjoyed the place nonetheless. Legoland gave us so much fun that we are left itching for a second visit!

Right, Gabby??
