Mickey and the Biw! Gab's 5th Birthday @HK Disneyland (12-06-16)

Like the fun that is never ending, so magical and true was the Land of the Disney's old and new!

https://www.hongkongdisneyland.com

Happy 5th Birthday Gabrielle! Papa and Mama will take you to the place of your dreams, where your little stories come to life and where your adventures are real.  I believe this experience won't be over in a day, you will tell us all about it over and over again, and we will listen to all of it twice as much as your little tongue can say!

Gabby asked us what will her birthday be like, would it be fun as her dreams told her. We said nothing much, just sleep tight and yes, fun it will be, cause she is loved more than she ever knew.

The next morning was a challenge, her little instincts told her what was ahead, and there came the mickey train! Her ideas became clear, but she just hasn't fully got it yet, until we alighted Disneyland train station, the signboards she saw on youtube made it all clear to her. She leaped her tiny legs and jumped, ran and then jumped, giggled and shouted, headed to the signboard and said "Disneylaaaaand!!!". "Picture me mama picture me mama!" Happy she was, but the happiest was me and Marlon.

Before her little adventure to the land of her Youtube's "most-searched", we had to check in to Disneyland Hotel (https://gravity.ph/blogs/gabby-with-mickey-and-friends-disneyland-hotel-12-06-07-16). She taught it was just like any other hotels we've been, we never told her the real deal. She was not as enthusiastic. The concierge even greeted her and gave her a Disney birthday pin, but she was all head to Disneyland Park that I even heard her mumbled: "Papa is so dugay."

After all the necessary must-do, we ran ourselves to the complimentary bus to Disneyland Park and shortly after arriving, selfie we did, kissed and carried her in her papa's arms and greeted her on her 5th birthday!

I had the itinerary ready because I wanted that day to be perfect, all spots must be visited and all "to-do's" must be done, but she just knew where to go first, she knew what to do next and she took the command just like that. I folded my itinerary back into my bag,  Marlon's map into his pocket and off our little birthday girl on her birthday adventure to the place where the magic begins.

Attractions:
Main Street, U.S.A.

At the park entrance to the Main Street, she got herself a birthday balloon. It was Minnie mouse, of course, gently floating in the air, while she firmly held onto it. We saw Chip and Dale up for an early selfie with queueing fans. She was all smiles and waved her hand at them, there is nothing much that interests her at the moment.

Tomorrowland

Like the calm before the storm of her unending curiosity, she ran as fast as she could head straight to Buzz Lightyear's empire.

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters- Our first to many rides of the day! A slow, spinning ride where you shoot lasers from a cannon to defeat Evil Emperor Zurg.  It was dark to enhance the visual effects, fun for the little ones.

Hyperspace Mountain- An epic clash between Rebel X-wing Starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters. The thrill became more intense as the rocket blasted into space. It was bumpy and speedy, dark and loud ride! It was scary and intense for me lol (I was closing my eyes all throughout the climax, I don't know what're the effects displayed). Gabby and Marlon were enjoying it, I even heard Gabby said the stars were awesome! I guess it was indeed because she wanted to board it the 2nd time around.

*Attractions not covered (Gabby's not keen on going to this places): Orbitron, Star Wars: Command Post

Fantasyland

Before going into the world of fantasy, princesses, and spinning teacups, us trio headed for a lunch break at Sleeping Beauty's castle. We served ourselves with Mickey-pizza, cute dumplings, and an authentic chicken curry!

Cinderella Carousel- Just like the fairytale we once heard, a prince would take her princess into a magical carousel ride. My little girl enjoyed her royal horse-riding with vibrant music and sounds. She was having fun and feeling all princess-ish!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant- Disney magic not just on land but soaring high into the sky as Dumbo nonetheless took us in for a joyful journey. I saw the whole of Fantasyland during this ride, so prepare your camera and take a 360 shot of the area!

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh- We immersed ourselves into Hundred Acres, having a joyride onboard a huge Hunny Pot, entertained with stories from this classic tale. Favorited this on my list, would recommend FastPass!

It's a small world- A little cruise that would take you around the world with children singing in different languages! "O kay liit ng mundo, O kay liit ng mundo, kay liit ng mundo". One of my fave in Disneyland!

Mad Hatter Tea Cups- The ride that had us spinning non-stop with fun and lively music! Gabby was taking the controls, had us dizzy and giddy! Mad ride indeed.

Mickey's PhilharMagic- A short over 10-minute 4D Disney animation with Donald Duck and his whirlwind of adventure to the world of Disney's classic.

Sleeping Beauty Castle- We haven't had the chance to explore Princess Aurora's castle but the exterior was jaw-dropping, like a cut out straight from the movie! Teary-eyed ko nag tan-aw lol. The castle also serves as the backdrop for the fireworks display later that night.

*Attractions not covered (Gabby's not keen on going to this places): Fairy Tale Forest, Fantasy Gardens, Snow White Grotto (she loves Snow White but according to her she already had a Snow White themed party last year), Sword in the Stone.

Toy Story Land

Barrel of Fun- Barrel of Fun was all about your pictures, selfie moments and meet and greet with Woody and Jessy. We haven't had the chance to have a close up with Woody due to time constraints. Gabby especially loves him, she was into Toy Story trilogy that much. It made her sad that she was not able to have a picture with Woody but birthday girls should not be sad right, so God does wonders! She didn't just have a photo opportunity with Woody, but a high-five and hug as well!

Slinky Dog Spin- I like this ride, it was fun and breezy. Just imagine riding on top of a dog that chases his tail around its food bowl!

*Attractions not covered (Gabby's not keen on going to this places): RC Racer, Toy Soldier Parachute Drop- I was being a spoil-sport kay nahdlok ko mag imagine nga itagak ko pinakalit from the top!

Grizzly Gulch

Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars- Marlon took the chance to have his solo fun on this wildest ride from the West. Have yourself plummeted downhill into the legendary mine. He was actually supposed to ride with Gabby because our little girl is a sucker for a thrill and adventurous ride, but her height did not permit her. We instead had our mama and baby bonding in Wild West Photo Fun.

Wild West Photo Fun- Just like those wanted men in mining history, we had ourselves behind bars and snapped a photo for the whole Wild West to see! Oops, we also had a water shoot-out from our barrels straight to the sheriff's office.

*Attractions not covered (Gabby's not keen on going to this places): Geyser Gulch

Entertainments:

Mickey and the Wondrous Book- We indulged ourselves into the world of Disney classic came to life as Mickey, Olaf and some of our favorite Disney characters narrated with an awesome performance of singing and dancing with jaw-dropping stage display.

Flights of Fantasy Parade- A parade like no other! Gorgeous floats which carry some of Disney's well-loved characters! During the festivities, Gabby got her birthday present from Woody himself (her most favorite Disney hero), a hug and a high-five to boot! Happy Birthday, Gabrielle indeed!

Look at the cheek that fluffs because of over smiling! This was taken right after Woody gave her a high-5 and a hug!

Festival of The Lion King- My most loved Disney classic of all time! Told with so much stage presence that had me left in awe.

Disney in the Stars Fireworks- "I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid.." Awesome fireworks display with Disney characters projected into the castle that serves as the backdrop joined with the songs from classic Disney movies. This was super awesome, had me teary-eyed. Oh, so much Disney feels! This event wrapped up our Disneyland experience.

We haven't had the chance to get a photo opportunity with the princesses, some of the attractions were not visited but the experience was surreal and magical in every sense of the word!

Happy 5th birthday to our Gabrielle at the happiest place on earth! :)

Thank you, papa Marlon for making Gabby's wish came true. We really did pull out a huge surprise for her, and special thanks to Papa Jesus for providing us with wonderful weather that day!
