Her birth was the greatest blessing we received. She is the force of gravity that pulls everything in our lives into proper places.
When Gab's 5th birthday was fast approaching, Marlon thought it was finally the right time to bring her to Disneyland. She will have the Mickey and Minnie birthday party that she ever dreamed of. No lavish birthday set-up, lechon and towering cake but the whole of Disneyland for her to explore! Now, that would be an adventure that she always told us about.
To give Gabby the ultimate Disneyland experience, we decided to accommodate ourselves at Disneyland Hotel. She was having fun during our stay as much as she had fun at Disneyland Park!

After alighting at Disneyland train station, we immediately checked in to the hotel. On the way, we passed by Disney Hollywood Hotel (https://www.hongkongdisneyland.com/hotels/disneys-hollywood-hotel/ ). Upon arrival, the concierge greeted us with politeness. They even gave Gabby the floor to do her "Owlette Pose!"
She calls it the owlette pose :)
They tagged each our luggage and directed us over to the front desk. Front desk officers were extra nice and personable, with Disney vibes to boot! Upon getting our details, they have learned that it was Gabby's birthday, they greeted her and gave her a Disney birthday pin. The officer even told us there will be a complimentary "towel-cake" (not a real cake but with candles to blow), but we haven't had the chance to have it since the whole day was spent at Disneyland Park. While waiting for the check-in procedure, kids have their own entertainment area. A cozy movie theatre with Disney movies on a play!
We haven't had the chance to spend our first day at the hotel, we were at Disneyland Park to celebrate Gabby's birthday. After the awesome day at the park, we headed straight to our room. We let Gabby blew her candle on top her mini birthday cake!
Happy Biwday!
The room- The room, in general, was spacious, elegant and cozy, decked with heavy Victorian designs and tapestry from the bed frame down to the curtains. Disney portraits on the wall, hidden Mickey's on the carpet and Disney characters carved out in each furniture. . The bed sheets and mattresses were soft and warm, perfect for the much-needed rest that night. The room has ample lighting and each table has night stands. The left bedside table has the telephone and journal, the other has the hotels map and "schedules of the day".
The closets were wide, stuffed with complimentary slippers and bathrobe with Disney logo (slippers can be brought home too!).
Spot the hidden Mickey! Gabby's favorite Disney hero is Woody and by chance, we were given the Woody key-card!
A corner table was set near the window for guests to admire the awesome view outside. Ours was overlooking the ocean and the Mickey Maze.
The bath- Bathroom was huge, neat and sophisticated. Like the ones, we saw on a lavish magazine spread. It also has a Victorian theme with a hint of modernity. Like the rest of the furniture in the room, the mirror has carved-out Disney characters as well. What I love about the bathroom was the way they set-up the toiletries for the guests. There were seven little boxes, with the seven dwarves faces on it (from Snow White) each contains basic toiletries! It was so cute I had to took the boxes home with me :)
Our second day in the hotel was meant for exploration. That morning Marlon has another surprise for Gabby. It was a meet and greet with Mickey and Friends while having breakfast! This made her day so much that she couldn't stop giggling and talking all about it over and over! He booked for a 2-day Breakfast with Characters!
Breakfast with Characters- Upon entering the banquet hall, we were greeted with the food's aroma from all over the world! It was indeed a feast for the palate, but that's not all! Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy came to join us for breakfast! Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy, what a feast indeed! The food was great, looks all cute and with a huge variety to choose from. I especially loved their dumplings! Mickey-shaped edibles are everywhere too!

Things you can do at the hotel (only those interests Gabby):
Indoor Pool- The pool has an elegant Victorian inspired setting with paintings and mural all throughout! We haven't tried the pool outdoors since it was chilly outside.
See how she is a princess to her papa even while taking a splash in the pool :)
Children's Activity Centre- Provides the little guest with Disney-themed activities!
Mickey Maze- Had a little fun of hide and seek at the maze!
The great outdoors- Magnificient Victorian-style palace was what Disneyland Hotel was! Complimented with scenic outdoor views of great stretched of the azure water and well-trimmed garden.
Papa and baby doing the Owlette Pose :)
For dinner, we visited the neighbouring Disney's Hollywood Hotel to dine with no less than Chef Mickey.

On our third day at Disneyland Hotel, we once again had breakfast with Mickey and Friends. Right after our second photo opportunity with the gang, Gabby then attended a workshop at the Storybook Playroom.
Storybook Playroom- The workshop was about making a treasure box (activities differ from day to day). The choices were of pirates and mermaids. Gabby of course picked up the mermaid-theme and made herself a treasure box with Ariel as her mermaid!
After that, we made a trip to the souvenir stations and loaded ourselves with cute Disney stuffs. That wrapped up our stay at the happiest place on earth.
Overall experience from Disneyland Park to Disneyland Hotel was magical. It was the happiest place on earth for the happiest birthday girl that day!
