Naan with Cheese

No-fuss and on-the-go breakfast. Melty cheese and soft round flatbreads are perfect for busy Monday mornings.

Ingredients


You will need:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Water approx ¼ cup, add more as required
  • Cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder 
  2. Add yogurt
  3. Add cooking oil.
  4. Mix lightly until it forms a loose dough
  5. Add water a tbsp at a time
  6. Knead for 3-4 mins to make a smooth dough
  7. Rest for 30 mins, cover with plastic wrap
  8. Divide dough into the desired size to make balls



  1. Rest for 10 mins
  2. Work on 1 ball at a time, cover the rest with towel. Flatten using a rolling pin



  1. Add cheese, fold the dough tucking the cheese in and sealing the edges
  2. Flatten with rolling pin
  3. Brush the side of the dough with water and put it in the pan
  4. Brush both sides with butter
